Old Town Edinburgh and Royal Mile

The Old Town area of the City is 'prime' for the Edinburgh Fringe and summer festivals. The Royal Mile links Holyrood Palace up to Edinburgh Castle and every August the Royal Mile pulsates to the sounds and sights of Festival Fringe performers who line the street to showcase their talents. It's a great location for pubs and restaurants and there are also plenty of local amenities and convenience stores. The Edinburgh Fringe Office is located on the Royal Mile and there are some great venues close by such as Assembly on The Mound, Underbelly in Victoria Street and The Free Fringe on the Royal Mile.
